Pricing and licensing to fit your needs

Compared to Open Source which comes with a multitude of obligations, there are two obvious legal benefits:

• commercial licenses do not require you to share your source code with the public in any way.
• you can white-label CKEditor builds after embedding them in your products or applications.

Also, commercial licenses come with other equally important benefits:

• availability of technical support.
• possibility to purchase additional premium features: collaborative editing, comments, tracking changes, revision history, export to PDF, export to Word, pagination, spell and grammar checking, math equations and importing from Word.

Except for on-premises versions of Collaboration Server, Export to PDF, Export to Word and Import from Word, we do not take into account these metrics. Contact us to learn more details.

It may depend on which specific terms your existing contract is based on. Please contact us at sales@cksource.com to talk about your case. In principle, we allow our customers to migrate to CKEditor 5 as long as they have been regularly renewing their contracts.

It specifies the maximum resolution of an image that can be uploaded or created. For example a sample 12MP image may translate into 4290x2800 pixel resolution while a typical 36MP image may have a 7360x4912 pixel resolution. A sample DSLR camera, Canon EOS 850D, creates 24.1MP images.

It specifies the maximum size of a file that can be uploaded.

If you exceed the monthly transfer limit or the storage limit we may issue an additional invoice for the overusage. Each plan has its own rate for the overusage. For example if in the Starter plan you exceed the monhtly bandwidth limit by 10GB and use 5GB of aditional storage (55GB in total), you will be charged 10*$0.6 + 5*$0.6 = $9.

For the prepaid plans we include a specific number of generated PDF or Word documents per month and if you exceed this number, our billing system will automatically charge you an additional fee for each excess document. That fee is stated clearly on our pricing page and on your invoices.

We count the average monthly storage used by your account. So if you have a Starter plan with a limit of 50GB, store 10GB of files most of the time and have i.e. a one day peak usage with over 200GB of files stored, you will still be below the monthly storage limit.

Search and tagging will be released in Q1 2023. We plan to gradually add other enhancements until Q3 2023. If you are interested in prioritizing any other specific functionality, contact us.

The Personal CKBox plan is a special free plan for exploring CKBox and for websites that do not require significant bandwidth or storage. If you exceed the storage limit, we may block the upload functionality and ask you to clean to free up the space and go back below 1GB. If you exceed the allowed bandwidth per month, we may stop serving your images via CDN until the end of a 30-days “billing cycle”. The free accounts that will permanently exceed the allowed limits may get suspended.

For software licenses, the minimum subscription length is 1 year. Similarly, the minimum renewal term of your software licenses is also 1 year. Contact us at sales@cksource.com if you wish to discuss a long-term engagement.

For CKEditor Cloud Services such as CKBox, Export to PDF, Export to Word, Import from Word, the minimum term is 1 month. You can terminate at any time with the effective termination at the e nd of the month in which you terminated your services

CKEditor Cloud Services are hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), which provides an exceptional security and stability. The data center is located in US East.

CDN used by CKBox and Easy Image is powered by Amazon Cloudfront, offering over 400 edge locations across every continent around the world.

Export to PDF/Word are services that generate PDF/Word files based on the data provided by the customer (HTML, CSS). To perform the conversion, they require the data sent from the editor or a database, but the services themselves are fully stateless.

The sensitive data (HTML, CSS, comments) is used only during the processing and then removed from the servers after the document is created and returned to the user.

All data transmission between CKEditor / Customer's application and CKEditor Cloud Services infrastructure is encrypted with TLS 1.2+.
